The Nations. Here. Now.
Our universities today are home to tomorrow’s future leaders of business, politics, economics and culture. Nearly every nation is represented here in the form of international students. There are 1.3 million of them here, and they are the key to reaching the world. Watch how the Lord is changing their lives. Sign up for our email newsletter. Partner with us through giving.
It’s often been said that the 4 years we spend at university set the course for our next 40. It was certainly true for us. College is a time when young people are forming their own beliefs about the world, away for the first time from the environment and influences they grew up with. So, in this time of searching, we desire to bring the life-changing message of Jesus Christ to their attention.
As these students become the leaders of tomorrow, we know that investing in them now will bring great change down the road to every aspect of society. Our vision is to see lost students transformed into laborers for Christ.
International students from nearly every country in the world have come to our own, and they all speak our language. Most of them come from nations without a noticeable Christian witness, where it’s often unacceptable – even illegal – to preach the gospel or become a follower of Christ. Yet the sad truth is that 70% of internationals in America have never been invited to an American home or a place of worship. What message will they return home with?
The good news is that God is working mightily among these future world leaders, and we have an unprecedented opportunity to make an impact on the whole world. Our ministry with Bridges exists to reach these internationals with the love and eternal hope of Christ.
Our mission with Bridges is to win students to Christ, build them in their faith and send them into the world to reach others. International students have a unique opportunity in the Great Commission, as they have access to some of the world’s hardest-to-reach places. Together, we can be a part of transforming whole countries from the inside out with the gospel.
We have been in full-time campus ministry since 2003, in different parts of Asia and in the U.S. Now we serve in Austin, TX at our Cru and Bridges offices. Zack produces outreach, training and testimony videos. Naomi serves on the national prayer team. Together we are providing resources and guidance to Bridges field staff and volunteers at 100 campus locations around the country. We have four children: Annalei, Miah, Cassia and Paxton.
