Summer Harvest
It was a joy to join with my (Naomi’s) teammates and focus our prayer efforts on the Bridges Summer Missions while they were happening. We asked, and the Lord answered!
We prayed that Bridges staff and students would meet students with open and prepared hearts. Nikki Hale staffed the Badlands Summer Mission (National Park in South Dakota). She met with two East Asian students “Rita” and “Sabrina” (pictured below). Nikki emailed, ”They were so intrigued about what I do for work so I was able to share my testimony! I then asked if anyone ever explained to them the message of Jesus, which they said no.
After sharing the Honor Restored message, they said they wanted Christ in their lives and prayed to receive Him! One of the girls said, ‘This is the best day of my life’ and ‘When I prayed, I felt shocked.’ Praise God that He was preparing them for today––a completely new life they are beginning with Him! Thanks again for praying, they were so ready, and I know God heard us!”

Our Bridges Teams in NYC, San Francisco, Paris, and London all saw people put their faith in Christ. When another East Asian girl, “Cindy,” met our Bridges team in London, she expressed a deep desire to explore Christianity. Stephanie, a Bridges staff member followed up with her and led her to Christ! She said, “I was in awe of how EASY it was…she was so ready and just needed someone to come alongside her to help her take the next step in her faith journey.” Praise God!
Christ-Centered Laborers
For students who went on Summer Missions, we prayed for life transformation. Elizabeth, a Bridges staff member, said this about her students Taku (Zimbabwe) and Mike (South Asia): “One of the things I noticed in both these guys when they got back is their whole demeanor seemed to change. Their passion for sharing their faith, their trust that God will provide, their excitement to see what God is going to do next. They both communicated to me that this was a life-changing experience for them.”
Praying for the Middle East
Zack and I have both been focusing our prayers recently on countries in the Middle East. We’ve been in touch with “Reed” and “Shay” to see how their families are doing. Zack has been able to speak some deep spiritual truth to Reed. He is still seeking and very open. Shay told me at Vision that she was considering becoming a Christian, and I have prayed so much that she would. I asked her if she was still thinking about it, and she sent me the following text:

Family Update
All four of our kids were in a recent production of The Little Mermaid. Annalei got to play Ariel for her last high school show. Miah played opposite her as Ursula (pictured in header).
My friend Yuna came to visit us and go sightseeing together. I was able to explain to her that Christianity is about a relationship with God and not just a way to become a good person. Pray that she would want this relationship.
UPCOMING
We are in Milwaukee for the Cru25 Staff Conference this week. Pray for good health and a refreshing time.
